Welcome to the Feria!

If you’re looking for an authentic experience on the Costa del Sol, the month of September is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in one of Andalusia’s most emblematic celebrations: the San Miguel Pilgrimage (Romería) and Fair (Feria) in Torremolinos. We invite you to be part of this tradition full of color, music, and joy.

The Romería is much more than a parade; it’s an act of popular faith that marks the beginning of the festivities in honor of Saint Michael the Archangel, the patron saint of Torremolinos. Declared a Festival of National Tourist Interest, this pilgrimage has its roots in the devotion of the town’s inhabitants. Traditionally, people would gather to accompany the Saint on his journey from the Mother Church of the Town to the San Miguel Hermitage in Los Pinares.

Today, the Romería is a major urban festival. Thousands of pilgrims, dressed in traditional costumes, take part in the procession. The most impressive spectacle is the grand caravan of decorated carts that compete for the title of the best in the pilgrimage. Entire families, groups of friends, and social clubs celebrate, sing, and dance sevillanas throughout the journey. It’s an explosion of color, tradition, and joy you can’t miss.

This year, the pilgrimage takes place on September 21st. It will depart at 10:30 a.m. from Avenida de los Manantiales and will travel through Plaza Costa del Sol. Its destination is the San Miguel Hermitage in Los Pinares de Torremolinos.

After the Romería, the celebration continues with the San Miguel Fair, which fills the town with life for several days. This year, it will be held from September 25th to 29th.

The fair has two main atmospheres:
Daytime Fair (Feria de Día): The town center becomes the party’s epicenter. Streets like San Miguel and Plaza Costa del Sol are filled with booths (casetas), live music, and terraces where you can enjoy tapas, wine, and a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere, perfect for immersing yourself in the local culture.
Nighttime Fair (Feria de Noche): As the sun sets, the party moves to the Fairgrounds (Recinto Ferial). Here you’ll find all the entertainment of a modern fair: booths with different types of music, rides for the little ones (and not-so-little ones), and a festive atmosphere that lasts until dawn.
